A record player is an electronic device for playing gramophone records; These records are also called vinyl, long-playing records or LPs. You can find both music and other audio on gramophone records. A record player is powered by a motor and a tone arm. At the end of the tonearm is an element with an attached cartridge containing a ceramic needle. When the needle is placed in the grooves of a vinyl record and the turntable rotates, the variations in the grooves of the LP are read and the resulting vibrations are converted into audible audio.

      Lenco record players

Lenco record players have been a household name since the 1970s. With high-quality and qualitative players, time has been invested in knowledge and experience. You can see and hear this in the record players that Lenco produces today. In addition to various designs, current record players also have various technologies that ensure that listening to vinyl meets modern requirements and wishes.

      Retro record player

Retro record players from Classic Phono by Lenco are vinyl players that have a vintage, or “retro” look. The technology, and therefore also the quality, is completely up to date. There are retro record players that have extras such as Bluetooth, a USB connection and a headphone output. Retro record players are true eye-catchers in your interior with their 60s and 70s appearance.

      Record player with USB

Immediately USB record player you can easily convert your analog vinyl to digital files, such as MP3, with or without a PC / Laptop, so that you can listen to the audio on your records wherever you go. You never have to miss your favorite music again. There are record players with USB in a retro design as well as with a modern design.

      Record player with Bluetooth

Record players with Bluetooth have the option to connect another Bluetooth device to your record player. This allows you, for example, to connect your smartphone, on which you have your own digital music, to the record player completely wirelessly. And you can stream your Spotify playlist, for example, via the built-in speakers or supplied external speakers.

      Record player with speakers

There are various record players that offer an all-in-one solution. Plug it in and you can immediately hear music from the built-in speakers of the record player. The speakers in our record players are often built-in, but we also sell different models record players with 2 separate speakers.

      Record player needles

Record player needles are important but delicate parts of record players because a needle reads the variations in the grooves of a vinyl record and when these sound vibrations are converted into sound and these in turn are amplified, then you have what we hear as audio. Lenco has high-quality ceramic record player needles for Lenco devices, but many can also be used for record players from other brands.

Which techniques can you find in a Lenco record player?

      AUX input + AUX output

AUX stands for “auxiliary” and there is both an input and an output for this connection option. AUX has to do with your amplifier or stereo. This connection is also sometimes called “line-in”. It is an audio input to which you can connect other playback equipment, such as a smartphone, MP3 player or CD player. The rule for devices with an AUX IN and/or OUT is the following: “if you can connect headphones to a device, you can often also connect an AUX cable to it”.

      • With a record player you do not need extra AUX cables to connect it, especially if there is a preamplifier in the record player. If you don't have a preamplifier, you will need a phono input in addition to AUX-IN to make sound audible.
      • The most common version of the AUX variant is the RCA, also called cinch connection; This cable has a red and a white connection for both stereo channels.
      • To connect an MP3 player via an AUX connection, you need a 3.5 mm cable with an RCA connection.

      Built-in speakers

Lenco has several record players with built-in speakers. Depending on the model of record player you choose, these speakers have a volume level between 1.5 and 4.5 Watts.

      Headphone output

A large number of Lenco record players have a special Line, also called RCA input and output option or AUX IN or AUX OUT. The golden rule for a record player is the following: “if you can connect headphones to your playback device, you can also connect an AUX cable to this device.
